About SitemapChecker.tools

SitemapChecker.tools helps site owners, developers, and SEO teams find XML sitemaps, validate their structure, and identify technical problems that can make sitemap submissions less useful.

The checker is designed around observable web standards and public search-engine documentation. It does not claim to predict indexing or reproduce private search-engine systems.

SitemapChecker.tools is built for practical XML sitemap diagnosis: finding sitemap files, validating the protocol-level structure, and checking observable URL signals without pretending to reproduce a search engine's private indexing systems.

What we test

The tools check sitemap discovery, XML and sitemap protocol structure, URL locations, sitemap indexes, lastmod values, HTTP status, redirects, noindex directives, and declared canonical signals within documented limits.

How diagnostics work

Remote checks request publicly reachable URLs from the SitemapChecker.tools server. Paste and upload modes validate the XML you supply without fetching page URLs. Results describe the response and markup we can observe at check time.

What the tools cannot know

A third-party checker cannot see private Search Console data, guarantee crawling or indexing, reproduce Googlebot exactly, or tell you which canonical Google has selected. When the answer depends on Google, we point you back to Search Console and official documentation.

Who reviews the guidance

Technical guides are published under the SitemapChecker.tools Editorial Team identity. We prefer primary documentation, verify claims against reproducible HTTP or XML behavior, and distinguish requirements, recommendations, signals, and guarantees.

Independent technical resource
